Job Description:

Career Coach - University. Randstad are delighted to be working with a renowned East London university. They are recruiting for a Careers Coach to join their team, principally working with computing, engineering and architectural students to obtain work, placements and general career support. This role is on an initial 6-8 week contract and based primarily on-campus.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide general careers information, advice and guidance to students and alumni looking for support from across our home and international community, cross disciplinary and across all levels of study
  • Help design, develop and deliver employability workshops for students to prepare them for work as well as provide ongoing careers support and guidance
  • Provide both 1-2-1 and group appointments, coaching, e-guidance, telephone, drop-in sessions, workshops and online materials
  • Ongoing monitoring of all placements to ensure compliance and level of service is maintained for both students and employers

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a careers, employability or coaching role
  • Knowledge of the computing or engineering sectors would be advantageous
  • Comfortable providing both 1-2-1 and group-based support
  • An IAG qualification/relevant experience is ideal
