About Choices Homecare: Choices Homecare are proudly part of the Optimo Care Group that supports service users across the UK with over 1,500 dedicated employees and a strong presence across multiple regions. We collaborate closely with local authorities, healthcare providers, and care professionals to deliver outcome-focused care. Working hours: Our service provides care 7 days a week between 07:00 – 22:00. We welcome applicants who seek both full-time and part-time hours. Please indicate your preference of working days and hours on the prescreen application form. We are predominantly looking for individuals wanting teas, beds and weekend work. We’re proud to offer flexible zero-hour contracts where you can choose to work as many hours as you’d like. To keep things fair for everyone, we ask for a minimum of 16 hours each week, preferably with every other weekend included. (Or 1 day per weekend if this suits). You’ll work on a simple 2-week rolling rota, so you’ll always know your schedule in advance. Please note: this role is paid for care delivery time only, with mileage between calls reimbursed at 30p per mile. This is not a block pay position. Location: Doncaster. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must have current and valid permission to work in the UK.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting individuals with personal care needs such as washing, dressing, and toileting
Assisting with medication administration and documentation in line with care plans
Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking where required
Promoting independence and encouraging service users to engage in daily living tasks
Building positive relationships with individuals and their families
Supporting emotional well-being and recognising signs of distress or changes in behaviour
Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors
Ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in the home
Respecting confidentiality and always maintaining professional boundaries
Requirements:

Experience preferred but not essential – full training provided
UK Driving licence and own vehicle is essential within certain routes/locations (We pay 30p per mile fuel allowance)
Alternative weekend availability (or 1 day per week - Saturday or Sunday)
