Help keep elderly and vulnerable people safer and better connected by using digital technology. Install sensor-based technologies within individuals’ homes to enable remote monitoring of health and well-being, allowing people to remain independent. Work with local authorities, the NHS, housing associations, and sheltered accommodation providers.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct customised needs outcomes-based telephone assessments with social workers and referring partners to recommend technology solutions
Deliver, collect, install, demonstrate, repair and maintain care technology in people's own homes
Travel by driving own vehicle
Support people of all ages to maintain health and wellbeing, including those leaving hospital
Support unpaid carers
Day-to-day management and maintenance of stock
Set up/repair/collection of care technology
Support clients to use their own mobile and smart home technology, apps
Move and track equipment using computerised bar code scanner system
Respond to customer alert activations and install standard telecare equipment
Carry out risk assessments and provide advice to ensure client safety
Respond to emergency requests and safeguard clients
Maintain and document accurately all installations, emergencies, and handovers
Manage enquiries and report faulty equipment
Maintain links with internal and external agencies for emergency help
Train and instruct new members of staff
Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong team player with flexible approach and good communication skills
Good level of general education to GCSE or similar (as a guide 4 GCSE’s A*-C)
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Full driving licence and access to own vehicle
Ability to prioritise and categorise based on information provided using sound judgement
Effective written skills
Effective organisation and time management skills
Organised and diligent
Self-starter
Nice to have:
Level 2 Introduction to Technology Enabled Care or equivalent
Relevant additional administrative qualifications
Health and Social Care qualifications
Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care

Experience (personal, paid or voluntary) of working with disabled adults and older people
Knowledge of technology and a passion for it
Knowledge and experience of working with Healthcare Professionals
Experience of working with a range of partner organisations
Experience within a community setting
Experience of working in a challenging and emotional environment, dealing with clients/families that may be recently bereaved, be at end of life, have learning disabilities or needing equipment to help rehabilitate
