Abbots Care is an award-winning Care Provider who places their clients and care teams at the centre of our service. Please note that you must have the right to work in the UK. We cannot not accept overseas applicants. You must have a full UK license and access to your own vehicle for this role. We provide round-the-clock care packages to support people including children, young people and adults who have long term to live in the comfort and safety of their own home. We are looking for individuals to support our female client with Epilepsy who lives in Hemel Hempstead. It is important that candidates have previous epilepsy experience, this will help to enable our client and deliver person-centred care. Our client attends regular social activities such as a gardening day centre on Mondays and Wednesdays, aswell as Singing and Dancing at Electric Umbrella on Tuesdays and Thursdays, in which you will be required to attend. She requires support with all daily living and social activities, this is a fantastic opportunity to truly make a positive difference to somebody else’s life and to assist our client to achieve their goals and aspirations. Therefore, this job offers the prospect of meaning and job satisfaction. The role also includes: Providing personal care; Administering medication; Attending social activities and companionship; Supporting client with learning everyday lifeskills; Assisting with regular sport and exercise; Food shopping and meal planning. The working hours are shift work between 7am-10pm. It is mandatory for candidates to commit to one shift every other weekend.

  • To be physically fit, calm, patient, friendly and caring
  • To have previous experience with supporting individuals with Epilepsy
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Personable with a proactive attitude to work
  • Good communication skills
  • To be fluent in English
  • To be clean and tidy in both your appearance and ways
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
  • Must have a full UK license and access to your own vehicle
