We are currently seeking a Care Support Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team, supporting a child with complex health and social care needs based in Great Eccleston, Preston. This is a part-time waking night position.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting our client to meet his needs that arise as a result of Left parietal meningioangiomatosis, Epilepsy/Focal epilepsy, Stroke (TIA), Episodes of pain, Sleep apnea, Autism, Communication difficulties, Registered as visually impaired, Cerebral palsy right side, Global development delay, Social communication difficulties
  • To complete safety checks on our client's equipment and to record his ventilation and saturation numbers throughout the night
  • To complete visual safety checks
  • To oversee his health and well-being
  • To support with small snacks and drinks when awake, staff need to be mindful of his dysphagia
  • To interact with his when he is awake
  • To meet his personal care needs
  • To provide moving and handling support

Requirements:

  • A caring and empathetic nature
  • Good communication skills
  • A genuine desire to support others
  • Basic IT and record-keeping skills
  • A full UK driving licence is advantageous
  • Previous experience is helpful but not essential
  • A good standard of spoken and written English is essential
  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, with documentation valid for at least 12 months
