Care Supervisor - Adults Learning Disability and complex needs. Permanent, Full time with generous benefits. Chorley, Lancs. Are you seeking a new challenge where you can work to make the difference to the lives of vulnerable adults with profound learning disability and physical disabilities? Are you a leader with previous experience of leading and mentoring teams within a similar setting? If so we'd like to hear from you. We're seeking a skilled Care Supervisor to join an established and reputable organisation who pride themselves on delivering exceptional care and support to vulnerable adults with learning disability and complex needs.

Job Responsibility

  • To lead and mentor staff teams within residential services for adults with profound learning disability and complex needs
  • Lead and supervise a team of care staff, providing guidance, support, and mentor-ship to promote professional development
  • Conduct regular supervisions and 1-1s and work with the leadership team to ensure the delivery of highest quality of care and support
  • Conduct regular assessments and work towards individual support plans
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to adult care services
  • Monitor and maintain accurate documentation, including care records, incident reports, and staff rotas
  • Promote a positive and respectful environment that encourages dignity, independence, and choice for clients
  • Participate in staff recruitment, training, and performance reviews to uphold service standards
  • Be flexible to work between the hours of 8am - 22.00 on a rota basis including alternate weekends

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in adult care, such as Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Leadership and supervision training, with proven experience in managing and leading teams
  • Strong understanding of adult social care settings preferably supporting those with learning disability and profound complex care needs
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and compliance requirements within adult care
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate care documentation and reporting
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond effectively to changing client needs
  • Car driver is preferable
  • You will be passionate, a strong leader who is able to motivate and mentor others
