As a Care Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring our clients receive exceptional care, while supporting the operational efficiency and growth of our services.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist the Registered Care Manager with the day-to-day management and coordination of the branch to ensure it operates efficiently, profitably, and delivers the highest standard of domiciliary care
  • Maintain accurate records, produce reports, and investigate complaints from service users and employees
  • Maintain and grow the team by actively recruiting new care staff, guiding them through the recruitment process, and producing weekly staffing rotas
  • Actively seek new business opportunities and support the commercial growth of the branch
  • Stay informed about up-to-date operational issues and methods
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, emergency regulations, and operational policies
  • Undertake out-of-office duties as necessary, including providing emergency hands-on care, undertaking on-call duties, attending social events when required, and offering emergency telephone assistance to care staff
  • Effectively liaise with other departments, employees, key stakeholders such as commissioners and customers, and the public at large
  • Perform other duties as requested

Requirements

  • Experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity in the domiciliary care sector
  • NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care is desirable or working towards
  • Proven ability to effectively lead, delegate, and mentor staff
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, empathetic nature
  • High level of organisational skills with the ability to produce staffing rotas and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to work flexibly, including extended hours where necessary, and provide hands-on care during staff shortages
  • A friendly, supportive demeanour with a genuine passion for assisting those in need
  • Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and support your colleagues
  • Reliable and punctual with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of care
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are required
  • Hold or willing to obtain work related car insurance
  • Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS clearance
