Job Description

Trust has an exciting opportunity for a Care at Home Worker to join our team working within our Housing Development at Glen Iosal, Isle of Mull Argyll and Bute. It’s an excellent job opportunity for those who live in and around Tobermory and the island of Mull. As one of our Care at Home Workers, operating on a rota basis between the hours of 7am through to 10pm seven days a week, you’ll drop-in on a number of our older and vulnerable adult tenants each day, providing support with daily living tasks and help around the home, providing care needs as based on their individual care plans, spending time with each resident dependent on their individual needs. Whether it's administering medication, personal support and care, housework tasks, or helping with meals, your empathetic approach will make a real difference to our tenants' lives. You’ll have the time to get to know our residents and are trusted to give each person the care and support they need, in the way they like.

Job Responsibility

  • Drop-in on older and vulnerable adult tenants each day
  • Providing support with daily living tasks and help around the home
  • Providing care needs as based on individual care plans
  • Spending time with each resident dependent on their individual needs

Requirements

  • Previous experience is preferred but not essential
  • Passion
  • Empathy
  • Dedication to helping tenants live their lives to the fullest
  • Has experience in the care sector and working with older people or other vulnerable members of a community
  • Holds an SVQ in Health and Social Care or relevant qualification
  • SSSC registration will involve working towards an SVQ in Health and Social Care if not already held
  • Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills
  • Possesses basic IT skills
