We are seeking compassionate and reliable Care Assistants to support a young woman living at home with a genetic neurological and developmental condition and epilepsy. This is a rewarding, person-centred role that combines clinical care with meaningful daily engagement. Duties include all aspects of personal care, moving and handling, administering medication, and managing nutrition including PEG feeding, while following established care plans and supporting overall wellbeing. Full training can be provided for the right candidate, but a caring attitude, patience, and professionalism are essential.
Job Responsibility:
Support a young woman living at home with a genetic neurological and developmental condition and epilepsy
perform all aspects of personal care
moving and handling
administering medication
managing nutrition including PEG feeding
following established care plans
supporting overall wellbeing
accompanying her to a day centre three times a week for social activities
regular outings such as trips to the park, zoo, cinema, and aquarium
at home, engaging in activities like having nails painted, watching musicals and Disney films
Requirements:
You don't need any social care experience to apply for this role. We're more interested in your compassion and ability to care. You'll need to be resilient too and willing to learn new skills and develop your knowledge as part of a close-knit team
