Job Description

Dovehaven care homes are recruiting a Care Assistant to join our team at Dovehaven House in Southport. Working DAYS - 8am - 8pm on a rota basis with alternate weekend availability required! Dovehaven House is a residential care home catering for up to 40 residents. The home specializes in dementia care, and our aim is to ensure all our residents feel as comfortable as possible. Our homes promote independence, dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment.

Job Responsibility

Work together with other staff in the running of the home
Aim to maintain high standards of care and service towards service users, relatives, visitors and other members of staff
Providing a range of personal and practical care to our residents

Requirements

Demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to caring for older people, either through previous roles in social care or in other roles
Self-motivated, resilient and well-organized
Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the Home
Caring and sensitive to the needs of others
Committed to providing service excellence
Able to communicate effectively
Able to provide emotional and social support
Committed to providing a high standard of care, promoting dignity and respect

Nice to have

NVQ Level 2 health and social care is desirable
