Job Description

As a Care Assistant you will provide high quality individualised care and support for each resident, promoting and upholding our residents privacy, dignity and independence at all times. Your role is to create a happy, caring and safe atmosphere; putting residents needs first, providing a wide range of physical, social, emotional and psychological support tailored to the individual. We respect differences and recognise our staff and residents will have different needs. No previous experience is required for this role as we will provide full training, therefore if this is your first role in Care we will support you fully.

  • Alongside this you will need to provide personal care, oversee bowel movement monitoring, and maintain a calm, structured environment to support his ASD needs
  • Ensuring equipment such as the blue box and suction machine are ready, provide stimulating activities to prevent boredom, monitor skin integrity, and liaise with school staff to maintain consistency and safety throughout the day

  • Answer Nurse call system, giving assistance as required. Answer the door and telephone appropriately. Respond accordingly, and pass on messages promptly
