We are currently recruiting for a Care Assistant (days) to professionally and thoughtfully deliver care during any span of duty, ensuring that a safe, effective and efficient care service is maintained which meets the needs of our residents. To provide care to residents in accordance with their individually assessed needs to a high standard. Being a Care Assistant is a busy role where our resident’s needs will be your top priority. You will be supported by a senior in charge on every shift as well as a hands on management team who are in the home each day. You will quickly become part of the care home family and let’s be honest, our team members are what makes our home a great place to live and work. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for care (first and foremost) and those who are keen to be the best in the sector. This is a varied and rewarding role that will no doubt provide you with a feeling of job satisfaction.
Job Responsibility:
Professionally and thoughtfully deliver care during any span of duty
Ensure a safe, effective and efficient care service is maintained which meets the needs of our residents
Provide care to residents in accordance with their individually assessed needs to a high standard
Provide the best possible care and support (physically and emotionally) to our residents on a day to day basis
Personal care
Getting residents ready for the day ahead
Assisting with meals (food and nutrition)
Providing day to day social interaction
Ensure all resident activity is recorded effectively
Highlight any concerns where required
Work as part of a dynamic care team, ensuring the home adheres to the necessary requirements and procedures at all times
Requirements:
Care Certificate
Experience of working with older people
Knowledge and use assessment tools
Understand care planning processes
Use of Electronic Care Planning
IT Literate
Good organisational skills
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to contribute to, monitor and implement changes that improvement service delivery and outcomes for residents
Ability to be flexible with regard to working hours
Builds effective and credible relationships both internally and externally
Works collaboratively with others sharing ideas and information at all times
Effectively builds trust with a consistent approach between actions and words
Has the ability to raise standards through innovation and new ideas
Will take responsibility for issues and resolve them
Able to cope in difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
Ability to build rapport and positively influence others
Ability to inspire professionalism
