Job Description:

Care Assistant role delivering overnight care to a child with CHARGE syndrome. You will be supported by Advantage Healthcare London branch and invited to attend regular supervisions and team meetings. A registered nurse will ensure you are competent in our client’s care needs and support with any clinical concerns and queries you may have.

Job Responsibility:

  • Be a part of a special care team delivering care to our client who is a delightful child to support him to reach his full potential
  • Deliver overnight care in line with the care plan which includes, care of the ventilated child, PEG feeds via mini-button for medication, hydration and nutrients, oral suctioning and oxygen administration

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a complex care setting
  • Experience with PEG feeds and administering medication via this method
  • Experience with suctioning
  • Experience of caring for children who non-verbal in nature, sign-supported and/or sensory communication
  • You will need to be a car driver due to the location
  • Access to vehicle preferred due to geographical location of role
