Job Description:

Join Alcedo Care St Asaph as a Care Assistant working within the areas of St Asaph, Rhyl, Prestatyn, Colwyn Bay, Bangor and surrounding areas. Excellent rates of pay £14.00 – £14.50 per hour + Pension + Holiday Pay (equivalent to £16.16 – £16.74 per hour including holiday pay & pension). We are offering a free DBS check! Immediate interviews available. Expected average hours – 20 to 40 hours plus per week. Shifts are flexible where possible and we also have opportunities for short shifts or 12-hour shifts days or nights. Job Responsibility:

  • Personal care including continence support, washing, dressing
  • supporting with medication, meal preparation, helping with household tasks

Requirements:

  • No prior experience required
  • all training provided
  • applicants must be aged 18 or over
  • must have right to work in the UK
  • requires Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references

  • Assist clients in all aspects of their care needs (e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual)

  • Pay particular attention to assisting clients who have limited mobility, or physical / learning difficulties, making the best use of aids provided
  • Closely monitor clients who may be confused and/or who have behavioural problems

  • Assist in the delivery of care for clients who are dying or who have a progressive illness. Assist with last offices
  • Observe care planning needs for clients and complete written daily records as instructed and in line with the company’s policies and procedures
  • Assist in a framework of social activities by interacting with clients and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the care home
  • Answer nurse call system, giving assistance as required. Answer the door and telephone appropriately. Respond accordingly and pass on messages promptly
