Job Description:

Care Assistant for a young boy P/T@ £13.74/hr in Stocksfield. To provide support for a 10-year-old male child who has Autism and ADHD which impact on his learning, communication and behaviour. We are currently seeking to recruit a Support Worker to support this child in accessing age-appropriate leisure activities within the local community.

Job Responsibility:

  • To provide support for a 10-year-old male child who has Autism and ADHD which impact on his learning, communication and behaviour
  • support this child in accessing age-appropriate leisure activities within the local community
  • building a positive and trusting relationship with him, with the aim of achieving positive behavioural outcomes

Requirements:

  • Be able to Swim
  • have experience of working with children and young people who have complex needs
  • be able to respond positively and sensitively to any changes in behaviour
  • have a high degree of initiative
  • have a positive understanding and genuine interest in supporting children and young people within their communities
  • be punctual and reliable as the child cannot be left unsupervised
  • be flexible
  • have a happy, positive and caring nature
  • respect confidentiality
  • Car driver is essential and must have business insurance
  • AN ENHANCED DBS CHECK IS REQUIRED
What we offer:
