Job Description:

We are recruiting for an experienced care assistant for our home. Shifts are 8am – 8pm, 2 or 3 shifts per week, working alternate weekends. We have 22 and 33 hour contracts available.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure physical and emotional support and care for residents
Safeguard delivery of health care arrangements under direction of GP or other health care representatives
Assist in providing a stable and caring environment
Promote relationships to enable participation in social activities
Encourage and support people to make decisions
Be aware of whereabouts of people at all times and know emergency procedures
Behave in a caring and professional manner
Follow and implement Rochcare policies and procedures
Engage in professional development including mandatory training
Attend staff meetings
Use initiative
Adopt a flexible approach
Maintain confidentiality
Aid and report in investigation of complaints
Undertake any other reasonable duty
Review and work in accordance with individual care plans
Provide personal care
Interact with friends and family of residents
Meet and greet visitors
Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements:

Experienced care assistant
Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
Ability to work alone or as part of a team
Flexible approach
Good communication skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with people whose understanding is impaired and their families
Ability to complete necessary records and routines accurately
