Care Assistant

• Professionally and thoughtfully deliver care during any span of duty
• Ensure a safe, effective and efficient care service is maintained which meets the needs of our residents
• Provide care to residents in accordance with their individually assessed needs to a high standard
• Provide the best possible care and support (physically and emotionally) to our residents on a day to day basis
• Personal care
• Getting residents ready for the day ahead
• Assisting with meals (food and nutrition)
• Providing day to day social interaction
• Ensure all resident activity is recorded effectively
• Highlight any concerns where required
• Work as part of a dynamic care team
• Ensure the home adheres to the necessary requirements and procedures at all times

• Care Certificate
• Experience of working with older people
• Knowledge and use assessment tools
• Understand care planning processes
• Use of Electronic Care Planning
• IT Literate
• Good organisational skills
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to contribute to, monitor and implement changes that improvement service delivery and outcomes for residents
• Ability to be flexible with regard to working hours
• Builds effective and credible relationships both internally and externally
• Works collaboratively with others sharing ideas and information at all times
• Effectively builds trust with a consistent approach between actions and words
• Has the ability to raise standards through innovation and new ideas
