Job Description:

Care Assistant Nights at Somerleigh Court Nursing Home in Dorchester. Hours: Nights - 36hrs per week (Must be able to work alternate weekends). Ideally hold NVQ Level 2/3. If you’re a compassionate person with a love for helping others, we’d like to talk to you. Our residents need the support of caring people to help them lead fulfilling lives. Experience isn’t required, but a kind personality is. Full training and ongoing development provided.

Job Responsibility:

  • Organise and take part in social and recreational activities
  • assist with residents' personal care and mealtimes
  • provide support to help residents maintain their independence
  • get to know residents and their families to provide the best possible care
  • maintain accurate records

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2/3 to be able to assist with medications
  • good written/verbal communication and people skills
  • works well in a team
  • flexibility to work alternate weekends
  • good IT skills
  • compassion and a drive to help others
