American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Paramedic license in the state of Iowa
BCLS
ACLS
Two years prior experience with general vascular and/or coronary angiography preferred

Current Sigma Six Yellow Belt certification or required within one (1) year of employment

Works closely with the Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Responsible for the expeditious processing of data, record keeping and collation of data to meet Medicare requirements and ACC data requirements of State of Florida
Manages systems, processes, policies, and procedures that result in a continuous improvement environment within which assigned area(s) and care partners always achieve national best/leading-practice standards for quality and safety as measured by CMS, Joint Commission, and other regulatory agencies pertinent to areas of responsibility

Ability to scrub and pan cardiovascular arterial & venous studies with cardiologist/radiologist/vascular surgeon: vascular angiography, angioplasty, arteriography, electrophysiology, hemodynamic measurements, PPM/AICD insertion and replacements
Manage ordering of inventory and supply chain under facility PAR level
Monitor per case expense and offer cost saving ideas
Must maintain the department in compliance with rules and regulations set forth by governing & accreditation agencies
Maintain and trouble shoot fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment
Ability to recognize overexposure of radiation and verbalize basic principles of radiation physics, biology, and radiation safety necessary to keep levels to the patient and staff at a minimal level

Follows programmed electrical stimulation protocols and measurements related to the functional properties of the conduction system and induced arrhythmias
Assesses the patient for potential and actual physiological and behavioral changes pre-procedure, intra-procedure and post-procedure

anticipates potential adverse response, recognizes complications and intervenes appropriately
documents physiological findings, interventions and device evaluation
May perform device interrogation of inpatients and post-operative device interrogation
