Job Description

Assists in the acquisition of data by performing EKG, and with application of holter/event monitors independently; including explanation of test, application of electrodes using accepted techniques and placement. Assists with stress echo and nuclear stress testing according to hospital and departmental policy under the direct supervision of a nurse. Properly bills for completed procedures

Job Responsibility

  • Assists in the acquisition of data by performing EKG, and with application of holter/event monitors independently
  • including explanation of test, application of electrodes using accepted techniques and placement
  • Assists with stress echo and nuclear stress testing according to hospital and departmental policy under the direct supervision of a nurse
  • Properly bills for completed procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients

Requirements

  • High School Equivalent / GED
  • 1+ years Of experience as a MA, PCA, CTA or clinical partner in a cardiology setting
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, team work and interpersonal skills
  • Performs EKGs
  • basic computer skills and vital signs
  • manual blood pressures
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
