Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current license as a Registered Nurse in NC and two years of RN experience preferred
Completion of an Allied Health Technology Program with registry or license as it pertains to field of expertise and two years experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab preferred
Completion of Cardiovascular Interventional Program
Two years of experience of experience within registry/license scope preferred
CPR certification upon hire
ACLS certification within 90 days
Proficient in procedure room roles (Circulator, Recorder, Scrubbing)
Competencies in: Ablation and device room set-up, simple ablation and device procedures, TEE guided cardioversions, and Implantable Loop Recorders
Professional communication skills with diverse age groups
Analytical skills for scheduling, equipment, and instruction comprehension

Job Responsibility

Ensure emergency equipment and supplies are always ready
Recognize and respond to potential emergency situations as needed
Promote safety practices & standards, maintain knowledge of equipment operation, adhere to equipment safety guidelines & report any malfunctions
Complete & maintain accurate departmental records and logs in a timely manner by entering patient data and charges into electronic system, and safeguard patient privacy & confidentiality
Maintain professional relationship with patients, families, and colleagues through effective communication and responsiveness
sensitively address conflicts & concerns as needed
Provides coverage for 24-hour emergency call for Cardiac Cath Lab
Rotating on call responsibilities with other staff members
Responding in a timely fashion (within 25 minutes) to emergency calls
Facilitating activities between departments to ensure prompt patient care
