Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist

• Perform duties of circulating, scrub, and monitoring of invasive cardiology procedures
• Demonstrate an understanding of all invasive procedures, the equipment and supplies for each procedure, and indications for performing the procedures
• Independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to: IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet
• Demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Utilize good radiation safety practices
• Exhibit a strong knowledge of cardiovascular diseases, and be able to interpret data gathered during procedures, and recognize potential implications in patient care or complications
• Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the imaging order
• Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself
• Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures
• Educate and support patients and families before, during, and after procedures

• Two (2)-years of current Radiology Technologist and hands-on scrub including interventional experience
• Completion of approved JRCERT Radiologic Technologist Program
• Current Radiology License CRT
• Current Arizona State License (MRTBE)
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
