Job Description:

Performs ECG's, Stress Tests, and Holter Monitor hook-ups. Performs related medical record charting and filing. The employee is also responsible for accurate charting and record maintenance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Performs ECG's, Stress Tests, and Holter Monitor hook-ups
  • Performs related medical record charting and filing
  • Performs EKG following explanation of procedure to patient and completion of required paperwork
  • Maintaining correct billing of EKGs, Holter monitors, and Stress testing
  • Prepares patient for procedure and assists physician during stress test
  • Prepares the patient and explains Holter monitor procedure and performs Holter monitor scans
  • Cleans and maintains equipment
  • Ability to use all forms of stress equipment
  • Charts all procedures on IP and takes OP results to Medical Records
  • Performs CPR when asked and responds to Trauma and Code Blues
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Arrhythmia course within 90 days
  • Minimum six (6) months performing cardiac procedures or EKG and Stress Test procedures
  • Minimum six (6) month work experience as an EMT and or paramedic
  • CPR/ AED/ BLS - Other BLS within 90 Days
