Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
Fellowship in cardiology, with specific training in interventional cardiology
Board certification in cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
Additional board certification or fellowship completion in interventional cardiology
Active and unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania
At least one year of experience providing care in a clinical setting

Job Responsibility

Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including angioplasty, stenting and catheterizations
Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients with cardiovascular conditions
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies
Monitor patient progress and response to treatments, adjusting care plans as needed
Address and manage acute cardiovascular emergencies and complications
Maintain detailed and accurate medical records

Job Responsibility

Perform cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures (depending on the cardiologist's subspecialty)
Educate and counsel patients on heart disease prevention, risk factors and healthy lifestyle choices
Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals (nurses, surgeons, specialists) to ensure coordinated patient care
Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients
Stay current on the latest advancements in cardiology through continuing education
