TTM Healthcare have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Cardiology Nurse to work in a private cardiology practice that provides Irelands only electrophysiology service in Ireland. The contract is permanent, full time and part time opportunities are available offering flexible shift patterns. Location: Galway
Job Responsibility:
Clinic Management
Coordinate and manage cardiology clinics, including screening referrals and arranging appropriate diagnostic tests
Attend clinics and provide specialist nursing support
Communicate with patients regarding appointments, investigations, and results
Respond to patient queries and provide ongoing support
Review outgoing clinical correspondence to ensure accuracy of letters and reports
Procedure List Management
Coordinate the booking and scheduling of procedure lists including cardiac ablations and cardiac device procedures
Communicate with patients in advance of procedures, providing information and support
Assist in the management and clinical support of procedure lists
Conduct post-procedure assessments and support patient discharge
Provide post-procedure follow-up and respond to patient queries
Review outgoing clinical communications for accuracy
Consultation Support
Act as a point of contact for inpatient arrhythmia consultations
Serve as a liaison for GP referrals relating to arrhythmia patients
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide specialist advice, education, and support to patients and their families before and after hospital discharge
Assist with patient pre-assessment and contribute to the development and delivery of specialist clinics where appropriate
Develop and provide patient education materials and resources
Deliver post-discharge patient education and support
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using electronic and manual systems
Promote high standards of patient care and clinical governance
Ensure effective communication between patients, GPs, carers, and all members of the multidisciplinary team
Support the development, implementation, and audit of clinical standards of care
Requirements:
Registered General Nurse with active registration
Significant clinical experience in cardiology, ideally with electrophysiology or arrhythmia exposure
Master's degree in Cardiology Nursing or a related field (or working towards)
Candidates working towards or who have completed Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner (RANP) registration
Excellent communication, organisational, and clinical leadership skills
