Job Description:

As a Cardiology Assistant, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care by managing patient flow for all Heart Station diagnostic services. Every day, You will play a crucial role in coordinating schedules, participating in our Outreach program, and ensuring timely responses to patient and provider needs. To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support and maintain patient flow to reduce patient wait times during clinic
  • Efficiently manage time by prioritizing each patients’ needs
  • Return/ Direct patient phone calls
  • Record/ verify medical records such as medical histories, medication reconciliations, and vital signs
  • Coordinate with hospital admissions and laboratory services
  • Diagnostic Testing: EKGs, Stress Echos, Lab, Nuclear Medicine
  • Assist clinic RN staff as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate, upon hire
  • High School GED, upon hire
  • Metropolitan Test, or equivalent., upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days

Nice to have:

  • Minimum 2 years secretarial/clerical experience in a broad range of duties.
  • Successful completion of basic dysrhythmia course
