Job Description:

This position delivers specialty care via telemedicine to underserved populations in correctional facilities. Physicians in this role will provide outpatient consultations Monday through Friday, with schedules provided approximately two weeks in advance to ensure predictability and flexibility.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide remote outpatient consults through secure telemedicine platforms
  • Review patient information and develop appropriate care recommendations
  • Collaborate with on-site clinical teams to coordinate next steps in care
  • Document visits clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner
  • Follow Avel’s established telehealth workflows to ensure smooth and professional consults

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree with an active, unrestricted medical license
  • DEA certification
