Job Description:

Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute – Charlotte, is currently seeking a Full-Time Adult CT/Vascular Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join their established practice in Charlotte, NC. You'll be joining a great team atmosphere with opportunities for autonomy. Our surgeons are readily available and easy to work with. Our busy practice provides plenty of opportunities for continued growth while remaining centrally location.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provides assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, referral, and consultation in collaboration with a supervising physician
  • Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the age, developmental stages, and special needs of the patients served
  • Work independently and efficiently with strong decision-making skills
  • Working with a variety of MDs, APPs and ancillary staff for inpatient management and coordination of patient care
  • Perform procedures, including bedside talc pleurodesis, autologous blood patch, TPA instillation, chest tube removal, pericardial drain removal, and wound vac placements

Requirements:

  • Graduated from an accredited NP or PA program
  • Maintain a current license to practice as an NP or PA in North Carolina
  • Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required
  • BLS/ACLS Certified
  • Physician Assistants: certification from the NCCPA required
  • Nurse Practitioners: Acute Care NP Certification required

Experience in cardiology, cardiothoracic or vascular surgery preferred

  • Order and interpret a variety of laboratory and diagnostic testing when indicated for appropriate assessment and treatment
  • Manages Triage phone line for coordination of patient care, transfers, and communication with other consulting services
  • Participates in education and training of APP students, APP Fellows, and on-boarding of new APP hires (when appropriate)
  • Attends and participates in Atrium Health and Sanger required meetings, education, development sessions
