Job Description:

Care for patients who may have life-threatening cardiac events, post-procedural and receive patients from the Cath Lab PACU while helping their families navigate daily care and the long-term plan for healing and maintenance outside of the hospital.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provides assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for assigned patients
  • Administer medications, change therapeutic dressings, monitor vital signs, prep patients for procedural interventions, educate both patient and families regarding the disease process and procedural intervention, and chart with timely documentation
  • Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging
  • Utilization of multiple Nurse Driven protocols allowing some autonomy for the prudent nurse
  • Evaluation and implementation of the treatment plan for the heart failure patient population

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing., upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: AR, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months
