Job Description:

As a Cardiac Echo Sonographer with SJHMC, you will perform diagnostic testing to support our cardiac team in their efforts to properly diagnose and treat patients. You will perform various tests on patients with cardiovascular issues. You’ll apply your independent judgment relative to all technical imaging procedures for patients with heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, heart attack, and minimally invasive surgical procedures to major structural repairs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Produce ultrasonic images to evaluate hemodynamics of heart valves, chambers and vessels
  • Ensure optimal imaging quality by performing quality checks on diagnostic equipment
  • Attends class seminars on new developments in technical improvements in sonography

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS program)
  • Previous sonography experience preferred
  • Active certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required
