Job Description:

Cardiac Procedures Tech for the Inpatient Unit at Aurora St Lukes Medical Center. The role involves assisting RNs with patient care, performing advanced clinical tasks, and monitoring patient status.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist RNs with daily patient care including hygiene, repositioning, ambulation, feeding, and general cleaning
  • Perform and document vital signs, intake/output, daily weights, and other patient data
  • Independently carry out advanced care tasks such as: Arterial sheath removal
  • Bladder scanning
  • Foley catheter insertion/removal
  • Arterial blood draws and ACT testing
  • IV insertion, site care, and removal (peripheral)
  • Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
  • 12-lead EKGs and phlebotomy
  • Monitor patient status and promptly report changes or concerns to the RN
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, post-mortem care, and patient transport
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • CNA (WI registry)
  • 1-2 years of CNA experience in the acute setting
  • Completion of telemetry education and competency within 6 months of hire
  • Completion of unit-based clinical training for interventional procedures within 6 months of hire

  • Provide technical direction and support to Value Added Assemblers (VAAs) in developing and maintaining Bills of Operations related to modules to ensure consistent quality and performance.
  • Communicate engineering changes, supplier feedback, and containment plans to production teams and VAAs, following up to confirm correct execution and performance in the field.
