Job Description:

At Blackrock Health Galway Clinic we are seeking a committed and motivated Cardiac Physiologist to join our dynamic and patient‑focused Cardiac Physiology Department. The role is full-time permanent, 35 hours per week. The role will generally be based in the invasive area, and candidates may be required to support the non invasive area.

Job Responsibility:

Participate in all Invasive & Non – Invasive Procedures
Participate in setting standards and satisfying expectations in the quality of care
Participate in the work practices established within the Cardiology Department
Be aware of legislation and amendments governing or affecting Cardiac Physiologist &/or Allied Health Professionals and issues of Health and Safety
Ensure that all reasonable precautions & safeguards are implemented for the provision of a safe work environment
Ensure the safe, economical and correct use of all hospital equipment
Report faulty equipment to Bio-Engineering department
Assume Senior Cardiac Physiologist duties in the absence of the same

Requirements:

BSc in Clinical Measurement or Certificate in MPPM prior to 2005 or an equivalent qualification
Experience in Cath Lab, Pacemakers and ICDs implants/Follow-ups
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility and a willingness to respond to the demands of the organisation

Nice to have:

Experience in EP and Non-invasive procedures: Echocardiography, Holter, BP monitoring
