Job Description

Baptist Medical Center is excited to welcome a Cardiac Echo Sonographer to join our Diagnostic Cardiology Department at Baptist Nassau in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time position with 4, 10-hour shifts, 6:45am - 5:15pm, Monday-Friday with a call rotation, offering flexibility while still being part of a dedicated, patient-centered team.

Job Responsibility

  • Performing high-quality diagnostic examinations of the heart using advanced ultrasound techniques, ensuring accurate imaging and reporting
  • Collaborating with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to support patient care and treatment decisions
  • Providing cross-coverage and as-needed back-up support to other non-invasive areas of the Cardiac Department to maintain seamless operations
  • Delivering compassionate patient care by preparing and educating patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process
  • Maintaining equipment, documenting procedures accurately, and adhering to department protocols and quality standards

Requirements

  • Adult Echo credentials through either ARDMS or CCI are required within 18 months of hire
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, families, and clinical teams
  • 1-2 Years Cardiac Echo Sonography
  • Education Preferred: Vocational School
  • License and Certification: Adult Echo Credentials (via ARDMS or CCI) - ARDMS
  • Driver's License - DMV
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
  • Experience: Cardiac Echo Sonography Experience
