Job Responsibility:
Manage a number of our car parks, including Hutton le Hole, Low Mill, Thornton le Dale, Cawthorn Roman Camps and Hole of Horcum (Saltergate)
Ensure car parks and facilities are safe, clean and welcoming to visitors
Provide exceptional customer service and assist visitors with parking, permits, payments and enquiries about the National Park and surrounding areas
Maintain car park sites to a high standard, carrying out general grounds and facilities maintenance while ensuring all infrastructure is safe, operational and visually appealing
Monitor and maintain site facilities, including toilets, lighting, signage and ticket machines
Monitor woodland areas and report any issues
Identify and report faults to maintain smooth day-to-day operations
Support parking compliance using ticket or ANPR systems
Work with contractors, landowners, and enforcement providers to support site operations
Support volunteers and groups on site improvement projects
Requirements:
Experience working with the general public
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
The ability to build positive relationships with visitors, colleagues and volunteers
A willingness to learn basic building and grounds maintenance skills
A willingness to learn role-specific IT systems
The ability to work across multiple locations on a flexible shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays
A full, valid driving licence and access to your own transport
What we offer:
25 days’ annual leave (pro rata) rising annually by one day to 30 days after five years’ service, plus public holidays
