Chef Daniel Boulud's culinary oasis in the heart of Midtown, Le Pavillon, is looking for an experienced Captain to join the team. We are looking for a dynamic, personable individual who is proactive with a solid service background. The Captain position works with the management team and all other front-of-house and back-of-house team members. The Captain is responsible for serving guests in a warm, accommodating and professional manner to ensure total guest satisfaction. They are in charge of a specific station and should always be present on the floor making sure that service runs smoothly.
Job Responsibility

Be present on the floor to make sure that service runs smoothly
Serve and clear food in cooperation with the team
Communicate well with the team in order to provide the correct sequence of service
Greet all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness
Engage the guests to create positive dining experiences
Execute on-going, pre- and post-shift side work
Open and close the dining room and beverage station as needed
Be knowledgeable of the dishes on the menu and be prepared to answer any questions from the guest
Requirements
2 or more years of fine dining restaurant experience
Desire and dedication to offer premier fine dining experience
Extensive food and beverage knowledge
High volume experience
Full availability - daytime hours, evening hours and weekends
