Job Description:

To accurately and completely take food and beverage orders, efficiently serve food and beverages to guests and attend to guests' needs.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare mise-en-place
Set up and clear tables in the work area
Maintain high standards of hygiene and orderliness
Provide genuine hospitality and recognition
Act as host/hostess in the work area
Promote hotel services and products
Take orders for, serve (where applicable, prepare) food and beverages to guests as per hotel standards in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
Possess a high degree of product knowledge and relevant technical skills
Keep abreast of events in the hotel
Anticipate guest needs, offer suggestions and ascertain satisfaction
Take ownership of guest concerns and requests and act decisively to ensure guest satisfaction when glitches occur
Describe food & beverage menu items with interesting and vivid descriptions in a concise, informative and appropriate manner
Be highly sensitive to guest preferences
Assist in compiling guest history
Offer a special service touch when an opportunity is presented
Requisition supplies according to established procedures
Accurately post guest checks, process payments and adhere to related control procedures in a vigilant manner
Be able to respond positively when asked to be polyvalent to perform duty from one Food and Beverage outlet to another

Requirements:

1-2 years of relevant experience in 5 star hotels/resorts or reputable stand-alone restaurants
Possesses excellent English, math and psychometric abilities
Possesses aptitude and upward mobility
Technical education in Hospitality Management is preferred
Basic wine knowledge preferred

Performs daily and turn around inspections as required to the applicable procedures
Initiates and completes applicable maintenance forms
Performs Aircraft fuel sampling/servicing as required IAW established procedures
Launches and recovers aircraft
Serves as aircraft taxi director during launch and recovery operations
Tows aircraft and act as aircraft brake rider when required
