Job Responsibility

  • Provide support to the NGA Integration Test and Image Quality Office (TAC) which is the primary integration testing and quality assurance organization
  • Assist with providing independent verification and validation of software and hardware, and information system releases prior to operations
  • Experienced with frequent use and application of technical standards, principles and theories
  • Works under general supervision, providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity
  • Sources, selects, and qualifies components used in the company’s technology
  • Investigates alternate component technologies or supplies, reducing cost and improving quality and reliability
  • Acts as technical interface between component/production suppliers and development engineers, determining new and alternate sources
  • Develops guidelines/procedures on vendor selection
  • Evaluates supplier change notification and qualifies changes, as needed
  • May maintain component data management system including qualification records/results/documentation

Requirements

  • Must possess and have the ability to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Poly
  • BS 2-4 Years or MS 0-2 in Imaging Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics or related STEM field
  • Working knowledge of Image Quality Equations (IQEs) to include creation and application
  • Basic understanding of simulation and modeling techniques or the image creation process
  • Working knowledge of imagery systems to include basic types of PAN, IR, and RADAR
  • Working knowledge of various basic ELTs, Matlab, and mathematics/equations/functions
  • Basic knowledge of sensor types to include airborne, space-borne, and FMV
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Proficient in oral and written communication skills
  • Able to develop and use more complex concepts and processes, conduct root cause problem analysis and develop technical solutions to problems

  • Familiarity with current GEOINT systems, products and development, as well as exploitation software packages such as all ELTs, AGITK, and other software plug-ins or applications necessary to develop test and verification methodologies
