Wells Fargo is seeking a Capital Markets Middle Office Specialist to support the Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) business in the Corporate & Investment Banking division of Wells Fargo Global Operations. The candidate will be a member of the FCM Operations Clearing team primarily responsible for reconciliations and deliveries, while also providing cross-functional support for trade capture and related processes for exchange-traded derivatives (including futures, options on futures, interest rate swaps, and credit default swaps). Primary responsibilities include reconciling all daily derivative activity and lifecycle events at the clearinghouses with the firm’s books and records system to identify and help resolve breaks in an accurate and timely manner.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure timely and accurate completion of exchange-facing reconciliations and processing of all daily derivative lifecycle events, including option expiration, clearing, allocations, compressions, transfers, and break resolution
Identify opportunities to resolve complex confirmation and related trade issues
Analyze tactical business challenges related to complex derivative products and exercise independent judgment to guide the deliverable
Present recommendations for resolving derivative issues
Provide information to managers and the Capital Markets Middle Office
Performing daily processes including reconciliations, delivery processing, trade capture, allocations, exception resolution, and processing of non-trade activity (option expirations, transfers, deliveries, compressions, closeout instructions, etc.) as well as mitigating risk associated with such processes
Fostering relationships with FCM Client Service, Sales, Fees and Brokerage teams as well as clients, middle office, traders and outside vendors to effectively accomplish the team’s goals
Requirements:
2+ years of Capital Markets industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
