We are looking for an experienced Canvas LMS Support Analyst to provide high-quality application support for the Learning Management System (LMS) at a university in Hoboken, New Jersey. This position primarily involves Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, focusing on troubleshooting and administration of the Canvas platform. As a key resource for faculty and students, you will ensure smooth operations within a dynamic academic environment. This is a long-term contract opportunity with potential for growth into broader LMS and system initiatives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for the Canvas Learning Management System, addressing issues and resolving technical challenges
  • Assist faculty and students by troubleshooting application problems and ensuring efficient resolution
  • Administer and maintain the Canvas LMS to guarantee optimal functionality
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance user experiences and support academic goals
  • Provide guidance on system usage and best practices to faculty and staff
  • Utilize tools such as Active Directory and Workday to manage user access and system integrations
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware or software issues connected to the LMS
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the system administration workflow
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend upgrades or enhancements
  • Support potential expansions into Canvas Catalog and other LMS-related projects over time

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in application support or a related field
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems, particularly Canvas
  • Familiarity with Active Directory for user management
  • Solid understanding of computer hardware troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Experience with Workday or similar systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced academic environment
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with faculty, students, and staff
