Job Description:

Heckfield Place is a beautifully restored hotel on a 400-acre farm in Hampshire. The kitchen is looking for a Canteen Assistant – 24 Hours/week to join our dynamic kitchen. We are looking for a person interested in healthy food offerings, utilizing the farm as much as possible. Reduced food waste and creativity using spent items from the two restaurants.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare the dining area for service
  • Prepare the service area, hot cupboards and other equipment
  • Ensure menu signage and allergen notice board is updated daily
  • Assist in serving and occasionally preparing food
  • Wash dishes, cutlery, utensils, tables and other equipment
  • Clean all recognized catering areas to company standards
  • Undergo on and off-site training
  • Assist chef in basic kitchen food preparation
  • Be flexible regarding shifts in times of absence and sickness
