Job Description:

Hunter AHP are currently seeking an experienced Band 8a Cancer Services Pharmacist for a fantastic locum opportunity within an NHS hospital based in West London. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with strong oncology experience looking to take the next step in their locum career or seeking flexibility in a dynamic cancer services team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review, verify, and clinically screen chemotherapy prescriptions in line with BOPA standards
  • Provide specialist advice on systemic anti-cancer treatments to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery of chemotherapy
  • Participate in audits, governance meetings, and cancer services improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with local and national guidelines related to cancer therapy

Requirements:

  • GPhC-registered Pharmacist
  • BOPA SACT Passport
  • Minimum 12 months of oncology/SACT experience within an NHS hospital or similar setting
  • Strong knowledge of chemotherapy protocols, e-prescribing systems, and cancer pathway
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamworking skills
