Embedded in the community, this position serves as a trusted partner to advance AHWFBCCC’s mission through culturally responsive education, outreach events, and research engagement. The role fosters bi-directional relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and stakeholders to improve access to cancer-related services, address barriers to care, and ensure programs reflect local priorities. Through proactive education initiatives, this position supports early detection, promotes informed decision-making, and strengthens participation in research and clinical trials—all guided by the ‘loved one standard’ to ensure compassionate, respectful interactions.

  • Translate strategic goals into actionable tasks, timelines, and measurable outcomes
  • Represent AHWFBCCC at health fairs, community events, and coalition meetings
  • Lead and monitor education initiatives (e.g., CARES seminars, COE signature events)
  • Serve as liaison and spokesperson, building long-term, bi-directional relationships with community leaders and stakeholders
  • Actively engage with the Community Advisory Board to integrate community input into programming
  • Collect and analyze education and outreach data using REDCap or similar systems
  • Prepare reports for leadership and CCSG compliance, including metrics for outreach and engagement
  • Ensure data integrity for institutional quality improvement and research support
  • Ensure adherence to institutional and sponsor regulations, including National Cancer Institute requirements
  • Promote informed decision-making and ethical standards in education and engagement
  • Apply the ‘loved one standard’ in all interactions to ensure compassionate, respectful care
  • Supervise interns and support personnel as needed
  • Develop educational materials, presentations, and digital tools to support education initiatives
  • Collaborate across Research, Academics, Clinical Operations, and Education teams to integrate community insights into institutional priorities

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years in project or program management, development, administration, or supervisory roles
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with high burden populations and address barriers to care
  • Project management and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data tracking systems (e.g., REDCap)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Customer service orientation and strong presentation skills
