Responsible for the delivery of excellence in patient care through assessing, formulating nursing diagnoses and establishing goals, planning and implementing intervention and evaluating patient care outcomes. Provide patient care in compliance with hospital policies and procedures and the standards of professional nursing practice as defined by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas.
Job Responsibility:
Utilizes the nursing process to ensure appropriate patient care
Performs ongoing assessment, formulates nursing diagnosis and goals, plans interventions, and evaluates outcomes
Consistently documents in patient and unit records
Provides appropriate teaching and information to patients and families
Demonstrates commitment to goals and values of patient, Hospital, community and nursing profession
Uses interventions substantiated by research
Participates in research activities
Participates in quality of care activities, evaluates quality and effectiveness of nursing practice
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) within 2 years from date of hire
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
TX RN licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA)
Med/surg or higher and Outpatient Clinic experience (Highly Preferred)
Nice to have:
Med/surg or higher and Outpatient Clinic experience
