Job Description

Join International Students Inc. (IFI) as a Campus Minister in New York City to make the world feel at home by inviting the nations into your home and sharing Jesus as you build meaningful friendships. Pursue intimacy with Christ, relational discipleship and evangelism, and hospitality in partnership with churches. New York City educates over 60,000 international students, many at Columbia University and NYU, making it a strategic place for ministry. Ministers are currently needed in the boroughs of the Bronx and Queens.

Job Responsibility

  • Engage in IFI events and Bible discussion groups, fostering genuine friendships while sharing about Jesus with international students
  • Recruit and mentor American and international volunteers to serve on a campus ministry team
  • Participate in regular mentorship with supervisors, seeking guidance and setting ministry goals
  • Study the cultural worldviews of the international students you serve to better understand their needs

Requirements

  • Adhere to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies
  • Person of character who faithfully extends God's love globally by mobilizing Christians to effectively communicate the Gospel in the context of various cultures
  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree
  • Minimum of one-year involvement in campus ministry or completion of IFI ISEED Program
