Campus Housing Assistant NJ\n\nLocation: Ramapo College of New Jersey\nProgram: MLA Summer 2026\nPosition Type: Seasonal / Hourly\nPay Rate: $16–$20 per hour, depending on experience\nHours: Up to 35 hours per week\nRoom and Board: Available, but not required\n\nPosition Overview\nMLA is looking for friendly, reliable, and hardworking Campus Housing Assistants to support our summer program at Ramapo College of New Jersey. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy student environment and is happy to help with practical campus-based duties that support student arrivals, room readiness, and general housing operations.\nThe Campus Housing Assistant will work closely with the Welfare Manager and the wider MLA team to help ensure that student and Group Leader accommodation areas are welcoming, organized, and ready for each session.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nResponsibilities may include:\n\nAssisting with room checks at the start of the program and during student arrivals\nSupporting with bed making for Group Leaders\nHelping with bathroom wipe-downs during the program\nAssisting with bathroom refreshes once per session, as needed\nSupporting housing preparation during arrivals and breakdown periods\nReporting any accommodation concerns, maintenance issues, or student welfare concerns to the Welfare Manager\nHelping the on-site team maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized residential environment\nSupporting other campus-based student housing tasks as assigned\n\nSchedule\nThis is an hourly position with a schedule of up to 35 hours per week. Hours may vary depending on program needs, student arrivals, departures, and session changes.\nBathroom support and refreshes will take place as needed, with larger session-based tasks expected to take several days due to the number of students on campus.\n\nSupervision\nThe Campus Housing Activity Leader will be supervised on site by the Welfare Manager and will work as part of the wider MLA summer team.\n\nRequirements\nApplicants should be:\nReliable, punctual, and hardworking\nComfortable with practical, hands-on campus support duties\nAble to follow instructions carefully\nFriendly, professional, and student-focused\nAble to work as part of a team in a busy summer school environment\nFlexible with working hours and tasks during peak arrival and departure periods\nPrevious cleaning, housekeeping, or residential experience is not required, although it may be helpful.\n\nSupplies and Equipment\nAll necessary supplies and equipment will be provided by MLA.\n\nCompensation and Benefits\nHourly pay rate of $16–$20 per hour\nUp to 35 hours per week\nRoom and board available if required\nOpportunity to work as part of an international summer program team at Ramapo College of New Jersey
