Job Responsibility:
Being responsible for assisting with the academic process for programs offered for students that includes direct management and oversight of vocational educational instruction, student retention and attrition, academic advisement, and records administration in accordance with school policies and procedures and all applicable federal, state and accrediting agencies standards and regulations
Supervising and training program directors, faculty and administrative staff to attain or surpass campus student academic goals
providing excellent customer service in order to increase student retention in accordance with the mission and purpose of the school
Requirements:
Minimum three to five years' experience in teaching in an academic setting
Three to five years of increasing responsibility and experience in a management level position in an academic environment with a demonstrated record of professional success in curriculum development, educational effectiveness assessment and improvement, faculty development and performance appraisals, student attrition, retention, and graduate outcomes
Knowledge of the principles of supervision, administration, systems management and community organization as applicable to specialized program area
Knowledge of secondary and postsecondary educational programs
Bachelor degree in higher education, teaching discipline, counseling/student services or related field required that is accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or an otherwise recognized training entity (e.g., hospital-based program) in the specialty field or subject area in which they teach
