Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager, Policy & Advocacy, the Campaign Lead – Gambling Reform is responsible for leading the delivery of Wesley Mission’s gambling reform campaign. This role translates advocacy strategy and policy positions into coordinated campaigns, working with internal teams, partners and supporters to mobilise action, influence decision-makers and drive reform that reduces gambling harm. The role also supports the development of Wesley Mission’s gambling reform policy positions by monitoring external policy, legislative and industry developments and providing insights to inform campaign activity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading the delivery of Wesley Mission’s gambling reform campaign

  • Working with internal teams, partners and supporters to mobilise action, influence decision-makers and drive reform that reduces gambling harm
  • Supports the development of Wesley Mission’s gambling reform policy positions by monitoring external policy, legislative and industry developments and providing insights to inform campaign activity

Requirements:

  • Experience delivering advocacy or public campaigns
  • Strong coordination and communication skills
  • Interest in gambling reform, public health or social justice
  • The ability to work with partners, supporters and internal teams
  • Confidence managing timelines, activities and competing priorities
  • A collaborative and values-driven approach
  • Experience in a not-for-profit, advocacy, communications or community services setting is desirable
