Job Description:

Join the Girl Scouts of North East Ohio (GSNEO) team as a full-time Camp Ranger and play a vital role in maintaining our beautiful properties, facilities, and equipment at Camp Ledgewood. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors, ensure the safety and functionality of our campgrounds, and support the mission of empowering girls through meaningful experiences. Collaborating closely with the Property Operations Manager, you will help create a welcoming and well-maintained environment for all visitors and staff.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and address minor maintenance issues across GSNEO properties
  • Report potential major problems to the Property Operations Manager for prompt resolution
  • Maintain grounds by cleaning and removing litter, snow removal from walkways and driveways, planting grass and landscaping, mowing, and cleaning drainage ditches and culverts
  • Perform minor repairs and upkeep of facilities and equipment as needed
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down outdoor event spaces and activities
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance and groundskeeping activities
  • Maintain inventory of tools and supplies necessary for grounds and facility maintenance

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, and/or a related field preferred
  • Ability to operate basic landscaping and maintenance equipment
  • Ability to manager projects with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Good customer service and communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
