Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA, a premier overnight summer camp in the Berkshires, is seeking a Camp Nurse / Licensed Medical Professional (LMP) to join our healthcare team for Summer 2026. This is a unique opportunity to live and work at camp, build meaningful relationships with campers and staff, and enjoy the best of summer camp life—all while practicing within a supportive, well-structured medical system.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide direct healthcare services including: Sick call, injury assessment, medication administration, and inpatient care
  • Emergency response and escalation
  • Serve as the primary medical authority on shift
  • Review camper and staff medical forms
  • Supervise medication administration and ensure accurate Medication Administration Records (MARS)
  • Chart all medical care and ensure health records are complete
  • Direct and support Healthcare Assistants (HCAs)
  • Communicate with camper families
  • Coordinate with the Medical Office Manager and Camp Director
  • Intake and manage medications on Opening Day
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked Health Care Center

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Experience working with children
  • Currently certified as an RN or LPN in MA
  • Must be able to provide proof of a physical within the last 18 months and proof that you are up to date on all required immunizations
  • Must be able to do overnight coverage
