YMCA Storer Camps offer educational programs, character development, and team-building services to youth and adults through our three core programs: Outdoor Environmental Education, Summer Overnight Camp, and Family Programs & Group Retreats. Located in southeast Michigan on 1,200 acres surrounding Stony Lake, our 15 unique ecosystems provide a natural learning environment for campers, students, teachers, and families year-round.
Job Responsibility:
Dispense medications safely and efficiently
Maintain accurate health records and logbooks
Keep inventory of medications and medical supplies
Provide basic first-response care in high-stress, fast-paced situations
Keep camper families informed with timely updates via phone and text
Requirements:
Registered Nurse (R.N.), Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.) or Emergency Medical Technician (E.M.T.)
Excellent judgment, communication and organizational skills
Confidence and willingness to interact in a positive manner with all those on camp
Flexibility and patience
Service oriented problem solver
Accepts and demonstrates the Y’s values
